July 3, 1988 – Runnymede Lobell wins the Cane Pace in 1:55.2 at Yonkers Raceway in New York.

July 10, 1992 – Carlsbad Cam wins the Meadowlands Pace in 1:51 at the Meadowlands Racetrack in New Jersey.

July 11, 1976 – Meadow Blue Chip sets the world record for female pacers on a five-eighths of a mile track by finishing in 1:55.1 at Brandywine Raceway in Delaware.

July 12, 1977 – Escort wins the inaugural Meadowlands Pace in 1:54.4 at the Meadowlands.

July 12, 1979 – Classical Way sets the world record for three-year-old filly trotters on a five-eighths of a mile track by winning in 1:58.4 at Blue Bonnets in Montreal.

July 13, 1991 – Crown's Invitation wins the Yonkers Trot in 1:59.3 at Yonkers Raceway in New York.

July 14, 2000 – Sammie's Girl wins the Delvin Miller Memorial in 1:56 at the Meadowlands and pays a stakes-record $80.20 to win.

July 15, 1965 – Pocono Downs opens near Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, with more than 12,000 fans in attendance.

July 15, 1966 – Buffalo Raceway in New York, sets its all-time attendance record of 12,779 as Bret Hanover wins a stakes race there.

July 16, 1874 – Goldsmith Maid lowers the trotting world record to 2:16½ at East Saginaw, Michigan; then drops the mark to 2:16 in the day’s next heat.

July 16, 2002 – John Campbell wins his 9,000th race by driving Scandalous Affair to victory at the Meadowlands.

July 17, 1993 – Presidential Ball wins the Meadowlands Pace in 1:50 at the Meadowlands Racetrack in New Jersey, his ninth victory in a row.

July 18, 1986 – Laughs wins the Meadowlands Pace in 1:52.1 and pays $23.80 to win – at the time the highest payout in the race’s history.

July 19, 1986 – Quite A Sensation equals the world record for geldings pacing on a half-mile track, winning in 1:54.4 at Northfield Park in Ohio.

July 20, 1977 – Speed In Action sets a record for three-year-olds on a five-eighths of a mile track by trotting 1:58.2 at Blue Bonnets in Montreal.

July 20, 1984 – Bobbo sets the world record for geldings trotting on a half-mile track, winning in 1:58.2 at Yonkers Raceway in New York.

July 21, 1978 – Passing Glance sets the world record for three-year-old fillies on a five-eighths of a mile track by pacing 1:56.2 at the Meadows near Pittsburgh.

July 22, 1991 – Ms Magic sets the world record for fillies or mares pacing on a five-eighths of a mile track, winning in 1:52.1 at Greenwood Raceway in Toronto.

July 22, 1995 – Luc Ouellette wins nine races at Yonkers Raceway.

July 23, 1994 – Duke Duke equals the world record for three-year-old geldings on a five-eighths of a mile track by pacing 1:52 at Scioto Downs in Ohio.

July 24, 1993 – Red B wins the Motor City Pace in 1:52.4 at Hazel Park near Detroit.

July 25, 1927 – Hall of Fame trainer/driver Stanley Dancer is born in Edinburg, New Jersey. Dancer trains five Hambletonian winners, tying William Haughton for the most in history.

July 25, 1977 – No No Yankee wins the inaugural Woodrow Wilson in 1:57.4 at the Meadowlands Racetrack in New Jersey.

July 26, 1959 – Pat Kuno wins at Laviolette Raceway in Quebec and pays a then-record $1,120 to win.

July 27, 1980 – Lindy’s Crown sets the world record for trotting on a five-eighths of a mile track by winning in 1:57.1 at Brandywine Raceway in Delaware.

July 28, 1990 – Jake And Elwood wins the Art Rooney Memorial Pace in 1:55 at Yonkers Raceway in New York.

July 29, 1992 – Lady Starlet wins the Merrie Annabelle in 1:59.2 at the Meadowlands.

July 30, 1867 – Dexter beats Brown George in a trotting world record 2:19 at the Riverside half-mile track in Boston.

July 30, 1885 – Maud S. trots a world record 2:08¾ at Cleveland.
