Grand Circuit racing takes up the reins at the Delaware County Fair in Delaware, Ohio beginning Sunday, September 19. The $600,000 Little Brown Jug--the third and final leg of Pacing's Triple Crown--will be the feature event on Thursday, September 23rd.

Grand Circuit racing previously was at Mohawk, where the $118,599 Champlain stakes and the $105,478 Simcoe Stakes were contested. Modern Medicine took the Champlain stakes for two-year-old filly in 1:52.1, while Ted's Cirl won the Simcoe Stakes in 1:52.3--both pacers were steered by Brian Sears.

Driver Steve Condren also had a banner week at Mohawk, winning with D Essential in 1:51.4 in the three-year-old Simcoe pace. He then took the Simcoe Stakes for three-year-old colts iwth Conchnito in 1:56 and the Champlain stakes for freshman trotters with Vino Camielle in 1:58.

Despite their victories, both Condren and Sears both trail driver Ron Pierce in the overall Grand Circuit driver standings. Pierce has 21 drives and leads all drivers by purses, wins and UDRS. His mounts have earned $2.1 million and his UDRS is currently at .460.
