Glidemaster Retired

Trotting Triple Crown champion Glidemaster has been official retired, according to trainer Blair Burgess. The favorite for Horse of the Year honors will stand stud at Walnridge Farm in Pennsylvania in 2007.

Glidemaster, a son of Yankee Glide, had 11 wins in 20 starts, and earnings of $1,968,023 during his two-year career. His top mark of 1:51.1 was taken in the 2006 Hambletonian. He also set a single-season earning record for trotters with $1,918,701 in 2006 for owners Bob Burgess, Karin Olsson-Burgess, Marsha Cohen and breeder Brittany Farms.
