Last year on January 14, Keith Kash, Jr. received the Peter Haughton Memorial Award for the top up and coming driver in Ohio. On Saturday, March 17, 2007, he drove his 1,000th winner behind Shining Art at Buffalo Raceway.

For the second straight program, Tim Tetrick, the sport's leading driver in 2007, drove seven winners at Dover Downs on Saturday, March 17. Tetrick scored seven victories at Dover Downs on Thursday evening as well. Tetrick's seven wins is the third time this meet he has done so. Earlier this meet he tied the track record of eight wins, which he shares with Luc Ouellette, Brad Hanners and Tony Morgan.

Jack Moiseyev is just 10 wins shy of notching his 9,000th career driving victory.
The 47-year-old native of Asbury Park, New Jersey currently sits tenth on harness racing's all time dash winners list and sixth on the career earnings list ($105 million). In 2004, Moiseyev moved to the WEG circuit from the Meadowlands. In 2007, Moiseyev is sitting seventh in WEG's drivers' colony with 36 wins from 271 starts and has steered the winners of over $637,000.

Ken Holliday registered his 4,500th win aboard Mutual Funs in the $6,250 Open II Trot at Buffalo Raceway on Friday night, March 16.

Sylvain Filion showed no mercy on his sulky-sitting counterparts on Thursday evening at Rideau Carleton Raceway in Canada thanks to an impressive 7-win performance on the 15-race card. Filion, who has guided home 74 winners this season, started the week ranking ninth among the Canada's top dash-winners.
