Belovedangel Wins Courageous Lady

Belovedangel captured the $130,500 Courageous Lady in 1:54 for driver Kevin Wallis on Saturday night at Northfield Park. She follwed the pacesetter Up Front Dragonfly through fractions of 27.2, 56.4 and 1:24.3, then pulled and strode past the leader in the final strides. Belovedangel pushed her seasonal earnings to $323,856 for trainer Bob McIntosh. Restive Hanover finished third. McIntosh, who also trained 1992 Courageous Lady Champ So Fresh, shares ownership of the Artsplace filly with John Fielding of Ontario and Irving Liverman of Quebec.
