American Ideal captured the $459,000 Confederation Cup Final in 1:50.3 for driver Mark MacDonald after winning his elimination in 1:51.2. The sophomore Western Ideal colt drew the nine-hole for the final, but that didn't stop him as he romped to victory by nearly eight lengths over his eight rivals.
