Ewie Duncan N Wins Complex Final

January 27, 2007

Ewie Duncan N, with David Miller up, captured the $85,000 Complex Final at The Big M Saturday in a stakes winning time of 1:51. Ross Croghan trains the five-year-old son of Live Or Die--Young Ros--Falcon Seelster. The brown gelding is owned by Let It Ride Stables Inc and Robert Copper of Florida and the victory pushed the pacer's career earnings to $99,553.

Arbrmo Dublin (Andy Miller) nailed down place honors with Super Eighty Eight (Daniel Dube) in third.

"He raced very well," winning driver David Miller said. "He worked out a great trip. He had cover until the top of the stretch. He was out the whole way, but he's a big horse and it doesn't seem to bother him."

It was only the pacer's third start in North America, with a record of two wins and one second, all at the Meadowlands. The time equalled the stakes record set by Art De Triomphe in 2001. For the complete rundown and fractions, see below.
