Chicago Drivers On Fire Right Now

Chicago area reinsman are red hot right now......Tim Tetrick nailed down his 1,000th career victory Sunday night (June 27) at Balmoral Park driving Odds On Dion to a career best clocking of 1:51.4 in the night's eighth race. The native of Geff, Illinois came onto the Chicago scene in 2001, and has been first choice among many of the Windy City's top trainers, including Odds On Racing conditioner Robin Schadt.

On Friday, June 25,  46-year-old Tony Morgan guided six winners to victory at Maywood Park. The Troy, Ohio native has reined the winners of over $57 million lifetime in his career, which has seen him win numerous driving titles nationally and throughout North America. He's also close to nailing down 9,000 career victories, with 8,878 and should obtain that goal in the next several months driving on the Windy City Circuit.

Driver Pat Berry scored a four-bagger Saturday night, June 26 at Balmoral Park. The 28-year-old Harvard, Illinois native also piloted new four-year-old track record holder Dashing Diplomat to a 1:49.1 clocking, putting him an elite club of the fastest pacers ever at Balmoral which includes Big Tom, Major Blue, Fresh Ingredient and Sagebrush (who also scored his 1:49.1 record that same night for driver Ryan Anderson). The following night (June 27) at the Crete oval Pat guided Alwaysanadventure to win the second race in 1:53.3 for trainer Carl Porcelli, Jr. He returned to pilot Swifty B Skipalong to a 1:54.4 win for trainer Mike Titus in the fifth race, and then drove Locanda's Mac N to a 1:52.4 victory in the sixth race for trainer Rick Dane Jr.

Pat has steered the winners of 163 races to date this season, with earnings of $1.2 million and career earnings of $4+ million. He is currently seventh among all drivers on the Chicagoland circuit, and is second only to Tony Morgan at Maywood Park with an 82-77-62 record from 565 starters at the half-mile oval.
