Post Positions Drawn for 50th Cane Pace at Freehold Raceway

Post positions were drawn today for the 50th edition of the $334,875 Cane Pace for three-year-old pacing colts, to be contested on the afternoon of September 6 at Freehold Raceway in New Jersey. The entry of Timesareachanging and Western Terror were installed as the 9-5 favorites.

The Cane Pace is the first leg of the Pacing Triple Crown. The other legs are the Messenger Stake (September 14 at Harrington Raceway in Delaware) and the Little Brown Jug (September 23 at the Delaware County Fair in Ohio).

Timesareachanging and Western Terror, both owned by Perfect World Enterprises of Old Westbury, New York, and trained by Brett Pelling, will race as an entry. Timesareachanging was second by a head in the Cane Pace elimination race to Camelot Hall.

The race will be contested at about 5 pm on September 6 on Freehold's half mile track.
