Landscapist and Blue Burner captured their respective $35,000 divisions of the Cam Fella Pacing Series at Woodbine Saturday. Blue Burner won in 1:51 for driver Mark MacDonald, who chopped out fractions of :25.3, :55 and 1:22.3 with the Casie Coleman trainee. The 4-year-old son of Grinfromeartoear--Village Blues, who captured the $58,500 final of the Ontario Boys Pacing Series just five days ago, is owned by Steve Calhoun and Mike Lindley of Chatham, On.Blue Burner, a career winner of $165,834, has compiled an impressive 4-1-0 record in just 8 starts this season.

Landscapist, in rein to Mike Saftic, made it look easy for trainer Des Tackoor as the 4-year-old son of Cambest--Cactus Flower snapped off panels of :26, :55.3 and 1:23.4 en route to a career best clocking of 1:50.4 for partners Mark Scholes and John Levy Racing Ltd. of Hamilton, On. Landscapist improved his 2006 record to 2-2-0 in 8 starts with the win and the $17,500 payday gives the gelding a career bankroll of $106,555. The top ten point earners will return to Woodbine on Saturday, March 18 to contest the $123,500 final of the Cam Fella Pacing Series.
