Brennan Wins Seven Friday Night at The Big M

August 11, 2006

George Brennan founds his way to the winner’s circle with favorites and longshots, winning seven times on the 12-race program on Friday night at the Meadowlands. Brennan, who posted a four-bagger on Saturday, won the first two races on Friday – Tiber Hanover in the first race and Bossi Corner in the second – and then added his third victory of the night in the fourth race with longshot Blushfire. In the featured sixth race, a $30,000 fillies and mares condition pace, Brennan scored with A Very Nice Horse, who paced a lifetime best of 1:50 flat.

Two races later, in the eighth, he completed a full house with Royal Flush. His sixth trip to the winner’s circle came in the ninth race with Durin Hanover. GTs Graig in the tenth race provided the 39-year-old Brennan with his seventh win. The track record of eight wins on one program belongs to Mike Lachance, who pulled off the feat on July 14, 1995.
