This is the $71,035 eighth edition of the Super Bowl for all 4 Year Olds, with four of the ten 
wearing trotting hobbles. Two mares are in the 2005 final:  R Royal Belle (#1)-a granddaughter of Super Bowl (Royal Troubador), as well as another granddaughter of the winner of 38-50 lifetime starts, the 1972 Triple Crown-winning Super Bowl-Worthwaiting (#9) for (Tagliabue). Two mares captured this same event in previous years:  In 1998-the first edition-Emerald Seelster and in 2003 Lady O War.

Valley Victory (Rumsfeld-#2) sired the 2000 winner Yankee McCoy, while Muscles Yankee is the ONLY sire with three in the final. He is the two-time defending leading trotting sire in all of North America.

FIVE states represented in ownership: New Jersey with four, Virginia with three, Rhode Island, New York, and Illinois each have one apiece.
