Meadowlands Racing

Analysis/Selections by: Grey Stable Tony

For Saturday November 27, 2004

Note from Tony:
Caution is advised in betting the first few weeks of the Meadowlands meet due to the amount of new shippers and of course, layoffs …

Race One:  Oil Burner Series-Leg 2
(2)
GAR disappointed as the heavy favorite but raced decently against the tough Caseys Bonanza, Pierce stays. (5) FATES PLACE conservatively handled after month on the shelf and closed steadily, expect more tonight. (9) GO AGAIN was parked past the half on extended brush then paced a fast third quarter and understandably tired.  (4) WESTERN HOT SHOT closed fastest of all in 27.0 after slow half 2nd start with lasix

Race Two:  $50,000-$60,000 Claiming Handicap
(9) NIGHTIME MAGIC tired late in pressured mile on poor night for speed, another shot.  (8) TWIN B GAMBIT was sharp closing in 27.1 off the drop down, a bit further out this week but will be closing fastest of them all.   (4) GINNYS FIVE SIX third start off short layoff, versatile and his favorite track

Race Three:  $50,000 Claiming Four-Year-Olds
(2) ASAMATTEROFFACT ten time winner, seven of which were at the BigM, Sears’ choice of three should be in good striking position.  (8) WILDCAT FEVER stepped up off the Saunders claim after being hard used and held gamely in his first start off layoff.  (4) FOX VALLEY SNAFFLE a month freshener for the coming meet, decent qualifier but may need one and be overbet.

Race Four:  $30,000 Claiming (D)
(1) IMTHATKINDACAM only win this year came off the ship from Canada at big odds, chance with no standouts. (8) EASY DASH N drops in value upon return off decent qualifier.   (3) IMAGE OF JATE closed decently in 27.0 off slow half, will take majority of the money.

Race Five:  Non-winners of $27,500
(3) STREET SIGN was one of our heavy plays last week and put in a sharp uncovered effort, loses Campbell but we will give him another shot.  (7) COLDHEARTEDREVENGE 3 YO has been ultra sharp in the Banca barn, left, was shuffled then closed sharply for the win, hard not to leave out of the exacta.  (6) DRAGONDOTCOM nice claim and qualified sharply for his debut here, similar scenario again with Anthony and Imthatkindacam in the 4th.

Race Six:  Non-winners of $15,000 (D)
(3) FRANCO CATAPULT N drops and gets post relief after getting parked out, gets Brennan back.   (8) PATCH ADMAS N steps up after a big score in his first trip over the track, but was bearing out and loses post position.(6) BULLVILLEINTHERAIN left and was hopelessly shuffled, was in great form at Pocono, drops and can leave again.

Race Seven:  OIL BURNER SERIES – Leg 2
(10) MATA HARRY long uncovered effort, gets Campbell this week and post #10 but we still have faith in this quality colt.  (1) DAVE AINT HERE failed as the favorite but was off poorly and suffered form bad cover, should be smoother sailing from the rail.  (2) ALL HALL scratch sick off the impressive qualifier at Gaitway, Millers choice and should be well placed throughout.

Race Eight: Non-winners of $10,000 (D)
(4) LCB classmaster drops into this spot after looking sharp in his qualifier.  (5) DREAM ROCKET closed well to the tough Patch Adams N I his first start off the layoff.  (10) FALSE ALARM gets some class relief and is versatile for Varty and Odds On Racing, can leave and gets Campbell.  (7) ALL HART N was well meant in first US start and stays in same class.

Race Nine:  OIL BURNER SERIES – Leg 2
(6) BOOTILICIOUS we are sticking with him after sharp uncovered effort, should get a better price this week.  (1) CRAZY ART showed little as this closer was saddled with post #10 last week, should rebound a top effort with the pole and Andy Miller.   (8) ARMBRO BECALM nice pocket score 2nd start lasix, will be out and firing again.

Race Ten:  OIL BURNER SERIES – Leg 2
(1) CASEYS BONANZA sharp 26.4 close, third over.   (4) MASTER THIS Sears’ choice of 4 brushed early and was impressive on a night conducive to the front end.  (7) CHILLSNTHRILLS was one of our big plays last week on the late switch to Dube, should be content to close of what should be a decent pace.

Race Eleven:  $75,000-$100,000 Claiming Handicap
(8) YULESTAR N the big time closer makes his BigM debut for this year just need some decent fractions up front. (5) GENE CARTER found it hard to make up ground in fast last half, but just may be sitting a golden trip behind Pinnacle this week.   (4) PINNCALE brushed to the half off a slow opening quarter and it was all over, a watch list horse for sharp 26.4 last quarter.   (9) ST GEORGE ISLAND is one tough customer and goes well off the shelf but may be hard pressed on the front end.

Race Twelve:  $40,000 Claiming Pace
(10) NEWSAM
tough uncovered effort off the short layoff and 1st time lasix.  (2) MACIE THE FARMER is bumped up in price by Fusco after the sharp uncovered effort off the ship from Balmoral.   (1) DUKE IS DUKE decent late foot off slow half first time off layoff.

Race Thirteen:  Non-winners of $10,000 (D)
(3) FISH MY PAL a watch list horse for facing heavy pressure in fast half.  (5) NOTTHATKINDAANGEL drops after closing well against better.   (7) LAUGHING IS AN ART ships in from Freehold in sharp form
