The $1 million Meadowlands Pace on Saturday, July 14 and the $1.5 million Hambletonian paired with its filly companion event, the $750,000 Hambletonian Oaks, on Saturday, August 4, headline the nearly $18 million in stakes, which have been scheduled for 2007 at the Meadowlands.

The Hambletonian is the track’s showcase event for three-year-old trotters while the Meadowlands Pace is the signature stakes for three-year-old pacers for the 137-date season that spans January 5 through August 4, 2007.

“Our stakes schedule offers something for everyone – from our popular Winter Series to our power-packed Championship Meet in the summer,” said Meadowlands Director of Racing and Racing Secretary Tad Stockman.

The three-year-old trotting colts also have the $350,000 Stanley Dancer Memorial on July 14 while the fillies have the $350,000 Delvin Miller Memorial on July 13.

The $100,000 Perretti Matchmaker, a stakes for older trotting mares that was introduced in 2005 and includes not only the purse money but a prized breeding to one of Perretti Farms’ elite trotting stallions, will take place on July 28.
