Four Starz Sisco Looks Ahead to Big M Pace

Berry's Creek Winner Eyes Provincial Cup Elims Saturday

June 2, 2005

Berry's Creek winner Four Starz Sisco hit a bump in the road to the Meadowlands Pace when he broke stride in the elims for the Provincial Cup at Windsor Raceway. He will attempt to get back on the path to July 16 signature race for the Meadowlands in the second of three divisions of the Burlington Stakes on Saturday at Woodbine. Twelve of the 31 Burlington entrants are also eligible for the $1 million Meadowlands Pace.

"I trained him at Woodbine between races on Monday night, and he was much better than I had hoped, I was very impressed with him," said trainer Dave Sabatelli of Fouir Starz Sisco. "He left out of there in a quarter of 26 seconds, and I was grabbing into him. We're pretty confident going into the Burlington with post nine [race nine on
Saturday]."

Four Starz Sisco, now with five wins in seven starts, was the short-odds favorite when he broke stride on May 22 in the Provincial Cup elims, finishing a distanced ninth.

"I had been kind of perplexed, so it was nice to get that out of the way," Sabatelli noted. "For the most part, I've had my horses shod just the way they are, and they've been fine at Woodbine. The first quarter is pretty much a straight sprint into the first turn, then they
walk up the backstretch here with not a lot of movement, the far turn is kind of flat, and I don't think you want to be three-wide trying to make up much ground. That's why the front end holds up so well."

In addition to Four Starz Sisco, the Burlington entrants eligible to the Meadowlands Pace include Runover Feeling, Mr Delite, Michael's Marvel, Astronomical, I Zee, P Forty Seven, Climb The Ladder, Arties Samartie, Alloveramerica, Leading X Ample and He's a Nice Guy.
