Meadowlands Racing
Analysis/Selections by: Grey Stable Tony
For Saturday November 20, 2004
Note from Tony: Caution is advised in betting the first few weeks of the Meadowlands meet due to the amount of new shippers and of course, layoffs …
Race One: nw3 3YO (10) FIT HAPPENS speedball gets Sears and should take these a long way in the opener .. (5) GILT EDGE was on the improve at Saratoga with impressive first over effort in last race there, horse should improve more with Morrill (3) EXACTORMAN big effort in last start at Pocono, even efforts in Yonkers tries, should appreciate the big track and Dube.. (6) CAGEY COLE good speed effort at Balmoral but has been fading in the stretch, risky chalk
Race Two: OIL BURNER SERIES – Leg 1 (2) BOOTILICIOUS Campbell’s choice of three, good close off slow half at Woodbine, very competitive in ONSS starts at Georgian Downs and gets post relief.. (7) ALL HALL big close in Gaitway qualifier, excusable race prior with huge 54.4 half at Lexington .. (4) GREAT EXPENSE another ONSS performer by way of Georgian Downs, his early speed helps .. (6) DAVE AINT HERE nice colt with top money earnings racing partly on the Grand Circuit, but may be overbet
Race Three: 75,000-100,00 CLHC (6) GENE CARTER reunited with Sears where he was on a tear after the Burke claim near the close of the meet, hasn’t put his early foot to good use lately but with lack of early gate speed here, should be on the move early .. (3) PINNACLE strict closer ships in off sharp close off slow half.. (2) OUR GALVINATOR A gets reunited with Campbell where he raced well on Hambo Day and can stay close
Race Four: OIL BURNER SERIES – Leg 1 (4) MATA HARRY consistent closer is glad he does not have to face Geortogear.. (9) WESTERN PRINCE Jug participant comes off sharp closing effort off slow half at Woodbine but must get into the race early .. (8) PROMISE ME ROMANCE big front end effort on the driver switch at Woodbine, should be out looking for early position.. (1) MASTER THIS big effort at Dover from post 8 against open company should be firing right out
Race Five: nw25,000 (2) STREET SIGN the scourge of Indiana Downs returns after qualifying sharply at Gaitway and can surprise with Campbell at a price.. (1) SILVER D MOON half brother to Four Starzzz Shark won impressively on Breeders Crown night, Brennan stays, fires out.. (4) COLDHEARTEDREVENGE 3 YO has really blossomed up in Canada in the Banca barn, Catman may look to brush early
Race Six: OIL BURNER SERIES – Leg 1 (9) ART CARNEY Harrisburg Sale horse comes off of useful tightner at Balmoral and can surprise with Campbell.. (3) CHILLSNTHRILLS the Quebec bred is the top money earner and has 10 wins in 15 starts, comes off useful qualifiers and keeps regular pilot.. (6) OHUBETTERBELIEVEIT ships into the Banca barn from the powerful Anderson stable, trip horse comes off decent close off slow half but may be overbet
Race Seven: OIL BURNER SERIES – Leg 1 (1) GAR big time closer gets Pierce and draws well for his BigM debut after facing a top field in the Balmoral open.. (5) FATES PLACE shuffled and came on late in last, previous was 2nd to Fox Valley Gallant’s big mile at the Red Mile, should be looking to the top.. (7) CASEYS BONANZA showed some promise on the PASS circuit, was Miller’s choice of three and closed decently in his qualifier at Gaitway
Race Eight: nw 10,000 (5) PERFECT HOST big effort on the dropdown at Freehold, races well here and keeps Gingras (4) TROT WEST BANDIT N drops into this condition off decent qualifier, may be overbet.. (3) STANDING DATE has come back well off the layoff and closed decently after getting away poorly in last, should be well placed early
Race Nine: 40,000 CLHC (9) HEZABIGRASCAL another Burke/Sears horse that was very sharp at the end of the meet, tuned up with big effort off the drop at the Meadows.. (7) JACCKA SEELSTER N drops into claimers off uncovered effort off slow half at Freehold.. (4) MICHAEL Q qualified well against some good stock at Gaitway after no shot mile in first start off layoff at Freehold.. (1) REGENT HALL his only win this year came off a layoff, should be right there from the rail can upset with Dube
Race 10: 50,000-60,000 CLHC (9) NIGHTIME MAGIC drops in for a tag after facing the likes of Admirals Express et al in Canada, can wire these.. (6) TWIN B GAMBIT has had some year but drops in price since last seen here after good gualifier, mixed signals and probably gets claimed.. (5) WESTON EARL A third start of short layoff facing tough ones at Freehold
Race 11: OIL BURNER SERIES – Leg 1 (9) ARMBRO BECALM ships into to the Pelling barn after huge speed try, first time lasix, can only improve.. (6) PLEASING ARTIST ships in to the Harder barn by way off the Meadows, Sears’ choice of three qualified evenly but does own a 1:51.3 speed badge taken earlier at the Meadows.. (2) ONLYAFTERMIDNIGHT ships in off decent effort first time lasix at the Meadows
Race 12: nw 6,500 (9) HOW FOREVER FEELS very nice horse we have seen race in top classes at Vernon Downs and seems like a good spot, versatile with good early speed and Manzi’s choice of three.. (6) PHIZZBEAU one of our favorite horses raced evenly in his qualifier against good stock, can close for a piece.. (5) TOUGH CUSTOMER another with decent Freehold form .. (3) ON EAGLES WINGS N impressive speed effort at Gaitway in qualifier but hasn’t raced since August and may be short
Race 13: nw 10,000 (9) HES FOR REAL drops from last at Balmoral with no shot as they closed in 53.4, none better than Campbell in getting horse involved early.. (5) EXECUJET very ambitiously placed in the AM-Nationals, back to a more realistic spot.. (1) PATCH ADAMS N big effort from post #8 in last from Maywood, improving New Zealand bred with a big closing kick.. (10) RUSTY WATER the chestnut pride of Prairie Meadows is actually one nice race horse even winning a 5/8 mile dash on 10/29, raced in the Invites at Scioto, Goodell has to get him involved early
