Big M Qualifying Rules for 2006

If you're new to wagering at The Meadowlands or if you're a seasoned gambler who is very familiar with harness racing's premiere facility at East Rutherford, New Jersey, it's important to know the rules regarding qualifying times for pacers and trotters. In the column at the right you'll find the various times required for horses to pace or trot throughout the year and below is a list of rules regarding qualifying standards for 2006.
*For first time Meadowland's starters, qualifying standards will be determined by last start on a racetrack classified fast. *Horses coming in from another track other than one mile allowed one (1) second. *Horses making breaks in two (2) consecutive races on tracks listed fast may be required to qualify. *Horses making a break off a qualifier must qualify with the exception of those that were not required to qualify. Horses making a break but finishing first or second may be exempt. *The judges may order a horse to qualify at their discretion. *Any horse scratched sick, lame or injured in two (2) consecutive races may be required to qualify & Any horse that has not raced in 30 days must qualify.
