The Big M Pick Six Pays $30,000

March 1, 2007

Despite victories by two big favorites in Wednesday's Pick 6 at the Meadowlands, only one ticket covered all six winners and was worth a $30,361.80 payout for the $1 dollar wager. With a carryover of $16,260 heading into the night's card, an additional $23,503 was wagered into the Pick 6.

Enhance The Night dominated her division of the Night Styles series in race five, the second leg of the Pick 6, winning at odds of 3-5. Driver Yannick Gingras guided the four-year-old mare to a two length score in 1:52.4 for owner Perfect World Enterprises and trainer Erv Miller. Enhance The Night has now won both legs of the Night Styles series and looms the favorite in next week's $55,000 final.

The other winning favorite in the Pick 6 came in leg five, the eighth race, as Frank Gifford scored in the conditioned trot at odds of 6-5. A pair of double-digit winners knocked most tickets out of the Pick 6, as Brancaleone won the fourth race at 13-1 and Camsurge won the seventh race at 11-1.

The other two winners were Santino's Rosa in race six at 7-2 and Richnrare A in the final leg, race nine, at 4-1. The consolation payout for five winners was $151.60.

The Pick 6 is a $1 minimum wager covering races four through nine every racing night at the Meadowlands.
