Saturday Night, December 30, 2006: Nuclear Breeze coasted to a three and a quarter length victory, his seventh in a row, in 1:50.1. It was the four-year-old's fifth straight victory in the $35,000 winners-over class at the Meadowlands. Pacific Renegade was second, with Hop Sing third. Nuclear Breeze is trained by Maryland-based Roger Hans. Owned by his breeder, Thomas Cooke of Maryland, Nuclear Breeze now has 11 wins and two thirds in 16 starts this year and a career bankroll of $242,132.
Friday Night, December 29, 2006: Philos Hanover extended his unbeaten streak to four with a two and a quarter length victory over Spirited Scoot in a $12,500 conditioned pace, Friday night in 1:53. Philos Hanover is trained by Richard "Nifty" Norman, and was driven by Brian Sears. The three-year-old son of Cam's Card Shark was unraced at two and did not make his racing debut until November 22, 2006. He has now won four consecutive starts for earnings of $25,000. He was a $200,000 Harrisburg yearling purchase by Jeffrey Snyder of New York City.
