At The Meadowlands
June 9, 2007
Kinetic Yankee motored to a 1:51.1 win in the fastest of three $25,000 New Jersey Sire Stakes divisions for three-year-old pacing colts on Saturday night at the Meadowlands. With Mike Lachance in the sulky, Kinetic Yankee led the field at every call and unfurled a :26.4 final quarter en route to a five and a half-length win in the evening's sixth race.
Kinetic Yankee has now won four of five starts this season for trainer Erv Miller.
His victories included an elimination race for the $500,000 Anthony Abbatiello New Jersey Classic. A son of Western Ideal, Kinetic Yankee was purchased for $50,000 as a yearling by the partnership of Brittany Farms, Fred Mansoor, Martha Frank and John Fodera. Tiber Hanover [1:52, race one] and Twinscape [1:51.4, race three] were upset winners in the earlier NJSS divisions.
