The Skinny: Falls For You turned in an impressive two-move effort to capture the C$361,225 Armbro Flight Final for older trotting mares Saturday at Mohawk Racetrack in 1:53.4.

"She trotted perfect, which is good for me," said MacDonald. "She's got a perfect gait, and I know she's a real nice mare. I've seen her race a lot, and I know she's one of the top in the division, so I knew she was a contender. Jack [Moiseyev] told me she got caught in the two-hole last week and was running out on the left line turning for home and he got fighting her a little bit and she just rolled off. I tried to put myself in a position where I could let her drift out a little bit finishing, and that's what happened."

The victory was the first of the season in six outings for Falls For You who is owned by the Fair Winds Farm Inc., Theodore Gewertz and Willow Pond Llc. and trained by Trond Smedshammer.

The Skinny:
"I love this filly, I raced her when she was a 2-year-old and she's a joy to drive. It was obvious that I needed to stay close to Timmy (Tetrick) driving Southwind Tempo," said winning driver Dave Palone. "I knew they were coming back to us but when she moved when I pulled her off cover, I didn't have any concerns." Kelly O'Donnell trains the winner, and said she'll get "a month off and then will look ahead to the Breeders Crown aged mares pace."
