Big Weekend at The Big M
February 24, 2008
Bob's Alibi Wins Senior Trendsetter Bob's Alibi won the $72,100 Senior Trendsetter Sunday afternoon at the Meadowlands. Driver Brian Sears held off the late rally of Isaac Newton for a neck victory in 1:51.4.
"I followed Pat [Berry and the favorite Free De Vie] last week and was not able to get by him." Sears said. "I thought I would go forward off the gate and just play it by ear. I didn't have any real plan mapped out. This horse has gone a few big trips first-over. Recently, he hasn't been quite as sharp as I thought he had been, but he put in a big effort today."
Bob's Alibi, trained by Mickey Burke, improved his record to 13 wins in 44 career starts. Burke's wife, Sylvia, shares ownership of the Indiana-bred with Weaver Bruscemi LLC of Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. Panaramic Art's Streak Now at 20 Panaramic Art picked up his 20th straight victory and third stakes trophy in the $75,700 Exit 16W Saturday night at the Meadowlands.

Panaramic Art paced the mile in 1:49.4, a stakes record and career best clocking. Sent off the 2-5 favorite, he is now nine-for-nine at the Meadowlands, where he won the $83,700 Clyde Hirt and $60,000 Oil Burner finals earlier this winter.
In what has proven to be a shrewd investment, the partnership of Squawk Box Stable and Keep The Dream Going Inc. purchased Panaramic Art from breeder Roger Roland of Grinnell, Iowa, for $60,000 on Oct. 5, 2007.
The gelding's streak began July 15, 2007 and has taken him to the winner's circle of six different mid-west fair tracks, Yonkers and the Meadowlands. Panaramic Art has now won 32 of 38 career starts and $231,693. Artist's View Sets New Record in Aquarius Artist's View turned in a sizzling 1:50.2 stakes-record effort in the $71,800 Aquarius final Saturday night at the Meadowlands with Brian Sears at the lines.

The Aquarius score gave Artist's View career earnings of $520,635 and a new lifetime mark of 1:50.2.
