Three Supplement to Breeders Crown

November 13, 2007

Two sophomore trotters and one pacer were supplemented to the $4.7 million Breeders Crown events which will be contested on Saturday, Nov. 24, at the Meadowlands in East Rutherford, N. J.

Despite the dominance of the undefeated Donato Hanover, whose slate for the year reads 11 wins in 11 starts, the connections of sophomore trotters Arch Madness and Prayer I Am were willing to roll the dice on the hefty supplemental fee of $62,500 to take a shot at the divisional leader. The Breeders Crown Three-Year-Old Colt Trot event now carries a purse of $610,000, meaning a third-place finish or better is needed to recoup the supplemental fee.

Koehler, Robinson and Strollin Stable’s sophomore pacer Won The West was also supplemented to his division, the $555,000 Crown Three-Year-Old Colt Pace.

There are no supplemental provisions for two-year-old races. The finalists for the eight Breeders Crown Finals will be determined through elimination races this Friday and Saturday nights at the Meadowlands.

The $4.7 million divisional championships for two- and three-year-old trotters and pacers has finals scheduled for Saturday, November 24, at the Meadowlands Racetrack. Post time is 7:30 p.m.
