The Skinny: "She's had a tough year and Erv's (trainer Miller) has done a great job of being patient with her," said winning driver Andy Miller of Restive Hanover. "She bled in the Cinderella at maywood Park and we put her on lasix that night and she's responded well to that. I sat with her tonight and she really dug in tough in the lane."
Note: Resitive Hanover won The Two-Year-Old Breeders Crown Championship for these same connections. Owned by the Starmaker Farm of Cynthiana, Kentucky, Restive Hanover posted her second win of the year and has now finished in-the-money in six of eight starts in 2005.

The Skinny:
"I just wanted to make the final,” winning driver David Miller noted. “We were going pretty slow the middle half and I took a shot and came first up, just rode up there. When I called on her, she just sprinted home. She didn’t race very well in the Jugette. Her last couple starts have just been fair. That was a big effort out of her. She must just like this racetrack. The track is good, it’s in good shape, nice cushion on it, nice and fast. I knew I was giving her a good trip.”
Note: Trained by Virgil Morgan Jr. and racing in the name of the Morgan Stables, Jay Corey of Morgantown, West Virginia and David Haberger of Salem, Ohio, Chotat Milk improved her 2005 record to six wins, one second and four thirds from 16 starts.

The Skinny: “My mare is really sharp right now,” said Sears. “I’m really happy with the way she’s been training. She had a really good qualifier down at Gaitway [Farm on November 10]. I just let her trot down the lane and she fought it off pretty good. She might have raced pretty light [making only her ninth start of the year], but at least she has the money to show for it. She likes to pass horses, and she’s a really nice mare. It will be a good race.”
Note: Owned by Barry Goldstein of Hewlett, New York, Blur is closing in on $700,000 in career earnings. This year she has four wins and two seconds in nine starts. She was second by a nose to Jalopy in the $750,000 Hambletonian Oaks on August 6 at the Meadowlands.

The Skinny: “She has been a pleasant surprise,” said Joe Holloway, who trains Flawless Bluestone for Carol Agins of New York, New York; Clare Russell of Lawrence, New Jersey; Steven Arak of Boca Raton, Florida and the Bluestone Farms of Hopewell, New Jersey.
“She is handy and better off cover. The tough part with her is getting her on the track. Most Donerails explode on the track. She usually wants to do it before, in the paddock.” “She raced very well,” winning driver David Miller noted. “We left from the gate and got into position. The pace slowed up so we moved to the lead. She was just full of pace in the stretch.”
Note: Flawless Bluestone owners made the announcement that the Donerail filly will not race as a four-year-old, but instead will head to the breeding shed. Flawless Bluestone now has six wins, five seconds and one third in 16 starts this year and has nudged her career bankroll over the $400,000 mark.
