Artistic Fella & Feelin Friskie Prepping December 14, 2006 A pair of this year’s top three-year-olds are prepping for their 2007 seasons. Meadowlands Pace winner Artistic Fella, who had a 10-race winning streak at the Meadowlands in the summer, rejoined the Steve Elliott barn on Friday and will begin light jogging. Anthony Abbatiello New Jersey Classic winner Feelin Friskie, who finished on the board in all but one of his nine starts, is in Nova Scotia, according to his trainer, Scott Bell. "He's had some problem with his feet,” Bell said. “That's why he only started nine times. But he's coming back. I thought with the way he won the New Jersey Classic [in 1:49.1] that he showed right there that he has what it would take to become a top four-year-old. That's the plan." |
