Artistic Fella wins Ben Franklin

June 15, 2008

Artistic Fella sped to a world record of 1:48 in the $500,000 Ben Franklin Final at Harrah’s Chester on June 15 with Tim Tetrick in the bike--the fastest mile ever on a 5/8 mile track regardless of age or gender.

“This horse does his best work while moving to the lead,” Tetrick said. “Trainer Steve Elliott made a bridle change and it really turned him around. I didn’t quit worrying until I went past the wire; this is a great group of horses. “He’s at the top of his class, and deserved to win.”

The 5-year-old son of Pacific Fella pushed his career earnings to $2,089,355.

“I’m just so proud of Tim, Steven and everyone,” owner Joseph Alborano said. “I just wish everyone in the game had a horse like this. I just love him.”
