Ithinki'msomebody Wins Taser Gun Stake
Ithinki’msomebody made it four-in-a-row by winning the $18,000 Taser Gun Final in 1:56 Friday night at Maywood Park. Co-owned by trainer Mark Fransen (Big Rock, IL) and Terry Duffy (Lemont, IL), Ithinki’msomebody made only two late-season starts has a freshman. After finishing second in his November 30 debut at Balmoral Park, he powered his way to a 1:55.2 triumph eight nights later in his first Maywood Park test. After four months of R & R the son of Sportsmaster has come back and rattled victories in his first pair of sophomore starts, including his 1:55.2 triumph a week ago in the Taser Gun elimination.

Driver George Brennan celebrated his 38th birthday on Wednesday, April 20...The Grasshopper Also Driver of the Week Award went to David Miller for 10 trips to the winner's circle last week, including triples on both Friday and Saturday at The Meadowlands. The Charlie Brown's Trainer of the Week was Ross Croghan who had a five-winner week, including doubles on Thursday and Friday at the Big M.

When Rainbow Blue won her Classic Series leg last Monday, April 18, 2005 at Dover Downs in 1:49.4, she posted the 33rd sub-1:50 mile by a mare, the first on a five-eighths mile track.. The first sub-1:50mile by a mare was recorded by Armbro Romance on June 27, 1998 in the Ladyship Stakes at the Meadowlands, which she won in 1:49.4 over Galleria. Galleria would post her own 1:49.1 mark a year later. Rainbow Blue, the 2004 Horse of the Year, had two 1:49.2 miles last year--at Woodbine and Lexington. Rainbow Blue is now the only mare to win in under 1:50 at both three and four and on three different tracks. Twenty-one of the 33 sub-1:50 miles for mares took place at the
Meadowlands. There is a three-way tie for all-time fastest mare with a 1:48.4 record for Frightening P, Carolina Sunshine and Loyal Opposition.

Sire Artiscape picked up two world record credits in Monday's Classic Series races at Dover with Rainbow Blue [1:49.4] and Maltese Artist [1:48.3].
