Mister Big Wins Aquarius Final

Mister Big turned in a brilliant effort in winning tonight's $74,000 Aquarius Series Final at The Meadowlands for driver Brian Sears. The four-year-old son of Grinfromeartoear - Worlds Sweetheart was mired near the back of the field for much of the mile and watched as the leaders stole a pedestrian first half of :57.2. The strapping pacer was still well back as the field turned for home but Sears got him fired up late and he swooped past rivals for a 1:51.2 victory. Fox Valley Appeal also rallied for the place spot while Real Mean Art finished in third.

The victory was the fifth this season in just seven starts for Mister Big who is trained by Virgil Morgan Jr. With the win, he boosted his career earnings to just over $500,000 for owner Joe Muscara of Huntington Valley, Pa.
