$130,000 Two-Year-Old Filly Pace

Cabana Fever (Ryan Anderson) prevailed by a whisker over the hard trying Sportsfancy (Brent Holland) to win the $130,000 American National freshman filly pace in 1:52.2. The daughter of Real Desire picked up her seventh win of the season in ten tries for trainer Joe Seekman and pushed her seasonal earnings to well over the $350,000 mark.

Sportsfancy appeared to have the race sewed up in the lane, but Anderson hustled his filly on the far outside, and she came flying after sitting outside through fractions of :27.3, :55.3 and 1:25. The two fought gamely all the way to the wire and it took a photo to determine the winner. Cabana Fever is owned by L&L Devisser, Sawgrass Farms LLC and Helping Hands Stable. Colette finished third with Dean Magee at the lines in the field of ten.
