Trueland Hanover Takes 16W Final

February 24, 2007

Trueland Hanover and Andy Miller came charging from off the pace to post a massive upset in the $70,000 Exit 16W Final at The Meadowlands. Caught in traffic early, the four-year-old son of The Panderosa - Taport Herald made a sweeping move on the last turn and sustained his rally to narrowly haul down heavily favoured J K CU Later in a lifetime best of 1:50.2. Carrs Character rallied late to pick up the show spot.

In winning, Trueland Hanover lit up the toteboard, returning a whopping $103.40 for the win. It was the first victory of the season for the Mickey Burke trainee who pushed his lifetime bankroll to just over $94,000 for owner George Leon of Pittsburgh, Pa.
