race on March 22 for $6,000, will make his first start for his new stable in Friday's sixth race at Hawthorne. Saturday's edition of Horsin' Around TV will document "Secret's" Friday performance.

Horsin' Around TV can be seen Saturdays on Fox Sports Net Chicago at 5:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. (CDT) and nationwide at 11:30 a.m. via the Hawthorne simulcast signal, and on youbet.com.

"Mike Faber (Dare to Dream Stable) and I wanted to show people how easy it is to get involved in horse ownership, and potentially, how much fun it can be," said Horsin' Around TV's producer Joe Kristufek.

The six furlong, second-level allowance race holds a purse of $30,000. It drew a field of eight, and the five- year-old gelding Secret Command, who has won consecutive, lower level claimers, has been installed at odds of 6-1.

"He would probably be a big favorite if we stepped him up a notch and ran him for $8,000, but we're not in this to turn a quick profit," said Horsin' Around TV's producer Joe Kristufek. "On paper, he looks like he's in a little tough, but with starter allowances looming at Arlington, we didn't want to have him claimed away from us."

"This is my first experience with horse ownership, and what they say is true - you really do fall in love with them. I love socializing with Secret Command. He's got a great personality. I hope people who are contemplating horse ownership get a positive vibe from what we are trying to do. He hasn't even raced and I'm already having a blast."

Liane Davis, Horsin' Around TV's features producer, is the trainer of Secret Command.

"I couldn't be happier with the way he's doing," Davis said. "He's adjusted very well to his new surroundings, and he cleans his feed tub every time. When the tub is empty, he kicks it around the stall. He wants more."

In preparation for his first start for his new connections, Secret Command breezed a half-mile in :49 4/5 on Friday, April 9 at Hawthorne.

"It was a very relaxed breeze," said Hawthorne clocker Jim Miller. "He went very well."

Secret Command competed in the 2002 Illinois Derby, finishing ninth to War Emblem, but he has had more downs than ups over the course of the last two years. For his career, the son of West by West out of the Valid Appeal mare Valley Vixen has won four times from 14 starts, earning $58,000.
