Chuck Bright
Blacksmith

Chuck Bright, an Oregon, Illinois native, has for years been revered amongst Chicagoland trainers for his expertise as a blacksmith. He began a career as a farrier when he was just 21-years-old. Chuck practiced his trade for 17 years out of his shop at the Elkhorn County Fair Grounds in Wisconsin, and then maintained clients at Maywood, Balmoral and the now-defunct Sportsman’s Park for 21 years before joining the Odds On team.

"After shoeing horses for 30 years it is nice to shoe for a big stable," Chuck said. "It’s an opportunity to shoe some really well-bred horses, and in a lot of cases the well-bred horses are just easier to shoe. Their breeding comes through."

Robin Schadt
Trainer

A horse lover all of her life, Robin was an avid horseback rider in her earlier days, and then turned to training Standardbreds in the early 1990's at Sportsman's Park.

She brings a lifetime of horsewomanship to her role as Odds On Racing's head Trainer, and her striking blue, purple and white colors can be found at a variety of
racing venues throughout North America.

Robin's career really took off in 2000, when she  teamed with Odds On Racing's owner Dana Parham.

"My philosophy is to keep the horses and the caretakers happy. You have to be in tune with your horse's needs. What I've tried to do is to recreate a horse-happy environment, in order to keep them fresh and racing well,"  Robin said.
